South East England. I reply faster to a specific question than to a general introduction.
Direct
- andrew@andrewmurphy.netAdvisory, board, diligence, speaking, media and partnerships.
- LinkedInConnection requests welcome. Please include a line on why.
What makes an enquiry easy to answer
- The decision you are trying to make, and the date it has to be made by.
- Who has to be convinced: a board, an investment committee, a regulator, a customer.
- What you have already tried, and what did not work.
- Any constraint that is genuinely fixed. Budget, geography, existing contracts, incumbent technology.
A paragraph containing those four things gets a substantive reply, usually within a day.
Executive search and recruiters
I hold two executive roles and I am not running a job search. I do consider board, non-executive and advisory appointments where the mandate is specific and the conflict position is clean.
If you are briefing on a role, send the mandate document and the name of the client. I will tell you within a day whether it is a conversation worth having. Full CV.
Media and conference programmes
I comment on hydrogen economics, geologic and natural hydrogen, hydrogen safety and standards, industrial decarbonisation, delay in green infrastructure, and energy security. I give the same answer on the record as off it.
Speaking topics and past engagements are on the speaking page. A high-resolution portrait and short biography are available on request.
Independence and conflicts
I operate as an independent expert with full disclosure of commercial interests and a standing recusal protocol. Current roles include CEO of Oxford Hydrogen and Managing Director Europe of GeoKiln, alongside independent advisory work in the hydrogen sector.
For any topic intersecting a direct commercial interest or beneficiary relationship, I declare the interest in advance and recuse myself from evaluation, drafting or votes.
